About Mackenzie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a RHP and CIF with a strong competitive edge and a high softball IQ. I read the field well, always staying a step ahead of the play. As a power hitter and a reliable defender, I pride myself on being ready for every situation. I bring energy and encouragement to my team, always keeping the game fun and uplifting my teammates

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m known as “Cheezy” because I’m always smiling and bringing positive energy. I love being the loudest supporter for my teammates, always cheering them on and celebrating their success. My mindset is, “If I work hard, I can’t be denied,” and I approach every game with determination to find a way to win, working on being a leader.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Beta club, church youth group

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Joining a brand-new school, I’ve learned how to lead by simply being myself. Staying true to who I am—while focusing on being a good person and supportive teammate—has shown me that things always work out.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ll never forget when I first started learning to pitch. At 9 there were three other pitchers ahead of me, and I often didn’t get much time in the circle sometimes being pulled after just one or two walks. My dad told me, “If you work hard, you will not be denied.” I took that to heart, pushed myself, and eventually surpassed those three pitchers to be the #1. Hard work!!!

What type of college are you looking for?

A competitive college softball program that values strong academic, player development, and a family- style culture. I am also seeking an environment where I can possible grow as a two way player. Be pushed at a high level and contribute both on and off the field

This summer, few pitchers showcased the level of poise and precision that Mackenzie Sease brought to the field. Matching up against some of the nation’s toughest competition, Sease consistently delivered standout performances that elevated her game to another level. Known as a versatile athlete who can impact the game on both sides of the ball, her growth in the circle has become impossible to ignore. Her dominance was on full display at the PGF Summer Grand Cash-ionals in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she was instrumental in helping LLG Futures secure a co-championship finish. Sease struck out 43 batters in just 20.1 innings of work, refused to allow a run, and limited opponents to three hits total, while holding them to a minuscule .045 average. Those numbers highlight more than just talent, as they reveal her advanced command, sharp execution, and ability to rise against elite hitters. With her combination of competitiveness and polish, Sease has established herself as one of the most reliable arms in the 2028 class and a pitcher to watch closely in the years ahead.
