About Lalia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a team first leader with a focused level head and a mindset set on winning the next pitch be it defense or offense. Batting I'm on the attack and focus on not missing my pitch. On defense I play max effort and want the ball hit my way every pitch.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a team first leader who leads by example with a walk the talk method. I seek to understand first then speak.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am perpetually on honor role and come from a family who gives back to our community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership, but more importantly servant leadership and leadership by example. I also strive to remain humble and practice humility, allowing my actions to speak on my behalf.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was raised by my Active Duty Army pilot dad only and grew up moving around. I attended 8 schools before the 7th grade. This experience has taught me to be reliable, responsible, pull my weight, and resilient.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for bigger school that offers a breadth of majors. In a team I am looking for a team that values selflessness and leadership.

Nicknamed “Cheeze,” Lalia Mejia Lalia Mejia Lalia Mejia C/MIF Centerville | 2029 OH is one of the top offensive and defensive catchers in her class. Mejia’s overhand throw has been clocked at 69.8 miles per hour with a 1.59-second pop time, and she is just as prolific at the plate. Her exit velocity has reached 77 mph, and she is coming off a summer in which she batted .412 with a .765 slugging percentage, nine doubles, three triples and three home runs. Arguably Mejia’s best skill is her pitch-framing ability, often stealing strikes well off the plate for her pitchers. She has frequently played up on older teams in the Lady Dukes organization without missing a beat. Mejia has big-time power and can flash the leather at second base when she gets a break from catching.
