About Lalia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a team first leader with a focused level head and a mindset set on winning the next pitch be it defense or offense. Batting I'm on the attack and focus on not missing my pitch. On defense I play max effort and want the ball hit my way every pitch.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a team first leader who leads by example with a walk the talk method. I seek to understand first then speak.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am perpetually on honor role and come from a family who gives back to our community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership, but more importantly servant leadership and leadership by example. I also strive to remain humble and practice humility, allowing my actions to speak on my behalf.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was raised by my Active Duty Army pilot dad only and grew up moving around. I attended 8 schools before the 7th grade. This experience has taught me to be reliable, responsible, pull my weight, and resilient.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for bigger school that offers a breadth of majors. In a team I am looking for a team that values selflessness and leadership.

Lalia Mejia may be the hardest-working athlete in the entire 2029 class. While her team has yet to take the field this fall, Lalia’s relentless drive and discipline are already setting her apart. From sunrise to sunset, she’s grinding, balancing intense training with her academic responsibilities and showing no signs of slowing down. As a catcher, her athleticism is elite: she’s clocked a six-minute mile (and still improving), boasts a 1.62 pop time, a 65 mph overhand velocity, and a 76 mph exit velocity. She’s training nearly every day of the week, and when she finally steps onto the field this fall, expect plenty of eyes to be watching. Lalia isn’t just preparing, she’s positioning herself to dominate.
