About Katie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My goal is to be a team player. I am a natural leader, so I like to make sure everyone on the field is connected and communicating to work together. I play hard and play to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am positive, outgoing and friendly. I can get along with many different personalities and have an ability to adapt to my surroundings having been in so many different situations and on different teams. I have a passion for softball, but also love singing and playing guitar, shopping, and spending time with loved ones. I have a lot of energy and a good sense of humor, and am a natural leader.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I do service at the church I attend, taking care of kids.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a natural leader, but have learned how to do this more effectively over the years. I have seen firsthand how good a team can be when we play together, so try to keep everyone connected regardless of where I am on the field. I keep positive regardless of the situation, and don't let one run or one error stop me from winning. Aside from leadership, I feel I am a good teammate and hard worker.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a college that offers a degree in sports medicine, has a good reputation, good coaching and a positive atmosphere. My options are open at the moment, but during visits will get a feel for the environment and the values each school holds.
