About Joley
Expert Analysis
Benjamin Rosenberg | Prep Softball Scout
Joley Bennett has been playing varsity softball in northern Louisiana since seventh grade, and she has dominated the competition for three years now. In 96 high school games, Bennett is batting .487 and slugging 1.047 with 44 home runs, 152 runs batted in, 41 walks and just 10 strikeouts. She is equally adept at hitting slicing line drives to the opposite field as she is at launching pulled fly balls over the fence. Bennett has a patient approach at the plate and occasionally uses a high leg kick to generate big-time power. Her defense at third base is excellent, as she can range toward the foul line to backhand a hot ground ball and make the long, flat-footed throw across the diamond to first. She also charges in on bunts and little dribblers well. The scariest part? Bennett still has three years to keep getting better before taking her talents to college softball.

Joley Bennett is the kind of hitter who forces opposing coaches to adjust their entire game plan. With advanced pitch recognition and a confident, controlled approach at the plate, Bennett is already proving she’s one of the most dangerous young bats in the country. This summer with the Texas Bombers Gold 16U, Bennett has showcased her offensive dominance, posting a .364 batting average, with 32 hits, four home runs, and 31 RBIs, all while striking out only four times. Her ability to recognize pitches early and consistently square up the ball is what makes her such a tough out and earns the respect of every coach on the other side. She helped lead her squad to an 8-1 overall record and the 2025 TFL Summer Championship, playing a pivotal role in the lineup by producing both power and timely hits. Her freshman high school season was just as dominant. Bennett earned Co-Outstanding Player of the Year in her district and collected a trio of prestigious honors: First-Team LSCA All-State Infield, First-Team LSWA All-State Utility, and First Team All-Area. With maturity beyond her years and a bat that delivers under pressure, Bennett has earned her place among the most feared hitters in the country.

Joley Bennett stays awfully busy. When she’s not blasting bombs on the softball field (she had 17 of them her freshman season for D’Arbonne Woods), she’s throwing the javelin further than anyone else in Louisiana. The two-time defending javelin state champion strikes so much fear into her competition that during the playoffs earlier this summer, she was given a free pass with the bases loaded. What makes her such an accomplished hitter is her incredible pitch recognition. Playing this summer for the Texas Bombers Gold 16U squad, she has taken her approach to the next level. Her balanced stats, including multiple home runs, doubles, and singles, tell the story of a successful and emerging young player.
