About Jessa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am competitive. I love the game and play like I do.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I think the Pat Summit quote “Here's how I'm going to beat you. I'm going to outwork you. That's it. That's all there is too it" describes me best. I put the work in outside of my team practices. I have taken weekly batting lessons since I was five and weekly catching lessons since I was nine. I added a weight training program in the 7th grade. My batting program is 50 swings five days a week.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Active member of my county 4-H club, active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parrish, East Robertson Middle School Beta President. I also am a member of my Future Farmers Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I sing in my middle school choir and in the Robertson County Middle School Choir.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Over time I’ve had to develop my mental game and mature. My love for winning can’t outweigh my love for the game.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to play for a school that offers me a high level of challenge, I have wanted to play collegiate softball since I was five and attended my 1st Western Kentucky Softball game. I plan to be a Dentist, I am looking for a college that offers my program of study.
