Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
As a catcher and utility player, I bring a strong sense of confidence to the field. I take pride in my ability to call pitches effectively, working closely with my pitcher to execute our strategy. Defensively, I’m a leader, directing the team and maintaining control behind the plate. My versatility allows me to adapt to any position except pitcher, where I consistently perform.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
As a catcher I feel it is important to stay calm and be in control. Whether I am calling pitches or shifting positions I work hard to keep my head in the game. I have a natural confidence on the field. I am team first and always look to keep my team uplifted.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed some solid skills that I’m really proud of! Coaching 10U softball one winter helped me grow my leadership skills—I loved guiding and motivating the younger players, It was such a rewarding experience. On my high school team, I keep pushing myself to be a young leader by setting a good example for my teammates.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Like most softball players I have had challenges. This last year I changed hitting coaches and I was not liking the game as much. I pushed through as I loved being around my teammates. Because of my love for the game I switched to a new hitting program and I have grown already under their leadership. I am looking forward to continuing to grow in an area I have had challenges.
What type of college are you looking for?
Looking for a school that is in need a catcher/utility player with a strong bat. Who even if I am down will continue to get better each day. I am looking for a program in college that will be honest with me, as that is expected of me and I plan to stay at whatever program is my initial decision.
