How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a competitive and focused player who stays cool under pressure—I have been complimented about my mound presence, especially under pressure. I always put my team first and try to bring a calm but confident energy to the field. I’m hungry to keep improving but stay humble because I know hard work is what really makes the difference.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’d say I’m funny and pretty easygoing. My mom always says I’m wise beyond my years, and I think a big part of that comes from being really sick 3 years ago. I don’t take life for granted. I know how lucky I am to be here, to be healthy, and to play the game I love.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I’m a member of the National Junior Honor Society, where I focus on academics and community service. I also help with the youth softball league in my city, which is really rewarding. Outside of softball, I’m the captain of my middle school volleyball team, which has helped me grow as a leader.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through sports and community service, I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. As a team captain, I’ve learned how to motivate and support my teammates. Helping with the youth softball league has taught me patience and the importance of giving back. Being in NJHS has also helped me grow in responsibility and commitment to both my academics and my community.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I contracted an MRSA blood infection that led to a clot in my femoral vein and pulmonary emboli, After 10 days in the ICU - I had to have emergency surgery to clean an infection in my hip bones and joints. I left the hospital after significant weight loss, on a PICC line with IV medications for months. It took hard work and dedication to regain my strength and skills
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for a college where I can play softball and be a valuable part of the team. Academically, I want a school that offers strong medical programs since I’m interested in nursing or sports medicine. I’d also love to stay on the East Coast and find a school with a great atmosphere and team culture
