About Emersyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I stay focused and play hard, always doing everything I can to make the play and get the out. On offense, I am smart, selective and powerful. I typically am at the top of my team in BA and home runs as well as walks, and I can lay down a bunt when asked- anything to help my team win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a hard worker and dedicated to the sport. I like to assume everyone else is working hard, and I do everything I can to outwork everyone else

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

N/A

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have leadership qualities- as a 7th grader playing on varsity for my high school team, I was in charge of shifting the other outfielders, who were a junior and senior.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my thumb two days before the first varsity game this last season. I went to hyperbaric oxygen chambers and took specific supplements to help my body heal as quick as it could. Within 2 weeks, I was back on the field.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to play for an SEC school

Emersyn Haney is already putting in the work, and it shows. Even though she’s still years away from being eligible to commit to a Division I softball program, she’s not waiting around. She’s consistently training to improve her strength and speed, and she’s a regular at camps that sharpen her game. A versatile defender at second base and in center field, Emersyn batted over .500 this summer with an on-base percentage above .600, and she didn’t record a single error in the field all season. Her recent appearance at the All-American Games in OKC added another highlight to her growing resume, and it’s clear she’s building something special.
