Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Defensively, I'm a fast player with the ability to read the ball off the bat and cover both gaps from centerfield (club) and cover foul territory and the CF gap as a rightfielder (HS). Offensively, I hit for power and average utilizing bunting and speed to get on base along with the ability to drive the gaps for extra bases and the power to hit homeruns.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am independent, empathetic towards others, and like being with my friends and teammates. On the field, I have a mental approach to make the play/put the ball in play to help my team win. I also am willing to play any role on the team to do my part.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Member of DECA at Roswell High School
Track and Field Team Member at Roswell High School
Selected as an international ambassador for Amana Academy Middle School, traveling internationally to share Amana's vision, mission, and values with students in Qatar.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my experience as an ambassador, I learned to use my voice to educate others. This helped me to develop leadership in the outfield and become a more supportive Teammate, coaching teammates on techniques, and offering support and empathy when they struggle. I have participated in community charitable events through Scouts of America helping serve and/or deliver food at shelters.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
When I was younger, I experienced negative feedback saying I was not good and "the worst player on the team". This motivated me to work harder to prove my skills and get better at the sport I love.
Last year, I injured my knee running hurdles. It cost me my track season and half of spring ball. I focused on PT and rehab and came back stronger. I also realized how lucky I am to play this game.
What type of college are you looking for?
Colleges that have a strong business school so I can achieve my academic goals. Also, a strong program where coaches treat players as people first and have developed a culture of developing good people and a family atmosphere. My club coach taught me that if you care for your players, develop them, and give them tools to succeed, winning games and a winning culture will happen.
