About Chloe

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a team-first competitor with a dawg mentality and a "one more than you" mindset. As our go-to pitcher for our most competitive games, I lead with energy, focus, and consistency. I’ve earned 30+ wins as a starting pitcher over the past three seasons by commanding the game with spin and movement, staying locked in on every pitch, and keeping my team engaged and ready to compete.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m resilient and thrive under pressure, especially in intense games. I stay composed and locked in no matter the situation, which allows me to perform with confidence and consistency when my team needs me most. I’m a vocal leader and someone my team can rely on, always bringing a team-first approach. I embrace challenges, keep a positive mindset, and bring energy for the team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m a member of the National Junior Honor Society and have earned academic honors for maintaining straight A’s. I am also involved in the Blue Crew (leadership group at my school that also does volunteer projects). I also am part of our Student Newspaper/Newsletter. I enjoy being involved in my school community and take pride in working hard both in the classroom and on the field.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and responsibility through both school and sports. I’m a vocal leader who encourages and supports my classmates and teammates, and I’ve learned how important it is to stay positive and dependable. These qualities help me set an example and contribute to my team’s and school’s success.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge for me has been balancing school, school sports, and travel softball while also maintaining a 4.0 GPA. On top of that, I put in extra work with private pitching and hitting lessons and strength and conditioning workouts. Managing all of this has taught me discipline, time management, and how to stay committed to my goals.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that offers a strong balance of academics and athletics, where I can compete at a high level and continue to grow as a student and athlete. I want to be part of a program with a family-like culture that values hard work, leadership, and teamwork.

Chloe Taynor Chloe Taynor Chloe Taynor RHP/1B Miami East | 2030 OH is a rising two-way star. Taynor made her first trip to the prestigious Colorado Sparkler this past summer, earning three wins in the pitcher’s circle to reach 30 for the year as of early July. She also batted .500 with a .533 on-base percentage and a 1.319 OPS. Taynor has great command of her fastball and can pull the string with a changeup or breaking ball, getting hitters to swing way out in front even in difficult pitching conditions. She trusts her stuff enough to pound the zone, stealing strikes early in counts to get ahead, and she is tough on righties and lefties alike. Offensively, Taynor generates plenty of power even with a short, compact swing, using the whole field to hit for extra bases and produce runs. She has made recent visits to camps at Ohio State and Tennessee, balances softball with volleyball and carries a 4.0 GPA.
