About Chloe

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a consistent key defensive player who can play SS, 3rd, 2nd, CF, RF, LF. I also hit for both a high average and for power. Our team plays very fast with aggressive base running.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have always played 1-year up for travel. I'm starting as a freshman on my High School Team, which is the largest high school in the state of Indiana. I enjoy playing with players who bring a lot of energy and want to compete at the highest level.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

My Indiana Magic Gold 2010 National Langston team plays in Alliance Tournaments. I'm a 14U / 2010 who plays in 15U/16U Alliance Tournaments. I made two Alliance All Tournament teams in the fall '25 and one Offensive MVP award. Our team also won a bid to Alliance Nationals by finishing runner up in our Box Bracket in St. Louis. This is our 2nd consecutive year making it into Nationals.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

By being a utility defensive player with a good bat, I get moved around a lot and play different positions in the field depending on what my team needs. My strength, speed, and athleticism have increased as a 14U player, and I can play speed positions now at a high level like SS and CF.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I started into travel softball my 11U year. I moved up quickly in travel level and had to switch teams. Now I play on the highest travel team in the state of Indiana. I have had to meet new girls and make new friends on every team and adapt to different coaches that put me in different positions. This experience has caused me to be very well rounded and comfortable in many different situations

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a high academic school in a Power 4 conference. Or a top softball mid-major D1 program.

Another player who hits for both average and power, Chloe Junkersfeld hails from Indiana and Carmel High School. The shortstop and center fielder plays club ball for Indiana Magic Gold National Langston 2010 and is a consistent player on both sides of the ball. She also makes defenses scramble with her elite base-running skills. Junkersfeld plays fast, and because her bat is so strong, she gets moved around to a bunch of different positions on the diamond based on the needs of her team at that moment. Her strength, speed, and athleticism certainly stand out.
