Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a leader and consider my relationship with my pitcher to be a priority. I support her, lift her up when needed, and help her find her best ball placement. I am a power hitter and when not catching, support my team at 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
As a softball catcher, my focus is to be a positive leader on the field and to support my pitcher at all times. I stay focused, communicate clearly with my teammates, and always hustle. I am vocal both on and off the field, cheering on and encouraging my teammates when batting, and by using my voice on the field to keep the team steady and moving forward.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I'm moving into high school this fall and played both softball (select and school) as well as basketball, where I received the "Passion" award, given to the player who holds the team together during tough situations. I also value community service and was an active member of the Leo's Club where I volunteered in both school and community activities.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through the Leo's Club, I committed many hours to community service, but I also have volunteered in animal rescue for years. I've developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. I've learned how to keep my teammates focused and encourage them during tough moments. Every game has helped me grow not only as a player, but as someone who supports everyone and lifts up the whole team.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I am a twin and my sister and I were preemies and adopted at birth. We had significant breathing issues and multiple hospital stays due to asthma and pneumonia. Because of our early hospital stays, we both became tough and resilient. Now our asthma is well controlled and I only use my inhaler as needed, usually during winter months. No matter what comes my way, I know I can overcome it.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for a college that feels like a family or a "home away from home." I want a school with lots of school spirit where I can play softball and study my passion, marine biology. It is my dream to work with seals or sea lions one day.
