About Carter

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Intense, aggressive, and fun.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m very intense and focused on the field, but I love to dance and stay loose when the music is on between innings!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Charity League, Beachside Chapter, Board Member (Secretary) for the Class of 2027.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve completed 65+ hours of community service with National Charity League. I’ve served as a board member for NCL twice. I have helped coach my little sister’s softball team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My family moves often for my father’s work, I’ve attended eight different schools so far across the United States and Australia. There are a lot of pros and cons to this nomadic lifestyle, but I choose to focus more on the advantages of it, such as seeing the world and meeting new people.

What type of college are you looking for?

Given that my family has moved so much, I’m not worried about going far away from my family. I’m open to all areas of the USA. Academics are important to me, and finding a feeling of community/family. My four years of college will be the longest I’ve ever stayed at a school!

After playing her freshman season in Texas at The Woodlands High School, Carter Cswaykus has found a home at El Segundo in California. Not only did she have a perfect fielding percentage during her sophomore campaign, but she also turned three double plays and was flawless in 151 putouts. She played in all 29 games for the Eagles, and finished as one of only two players on the team without an error. A flexible defender, she plays a solid outfield while also holding down a steady first base. When she is not playing for the Eagles, she is a member of the competitive D1VISION softball program in Louisiana. A reliable fielder is a pitcher’s best friend, and Cswaykus fits that bill.
