During the summer, Caroline Candler prepped for her sophomore season by spending time in the weight room and setting personal records. Halfway through the season, it is clear that her conditioning has made a difference. The rising infielder has a .420 batting average with 21 hits, 21 runs scored, four doubles, two home runs, and one triple as of this writing. A third of her hits have gone for extra bases, and she has a slugging percentage of .660. Defensively, she has 35 putouts so far, and can hold down a position anywhere in the infield. She is a good example of a player who is determined to always improve and be the best version of herself on the field.
