About Brooklyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I love to compete, guide my team's focus on the next play and read the field for how best to execute offensively & defensively. I actively communicate with the plate & field umpires to not only show respect & gratitude for their part of the game but also demonstrate my active awareness of plays, calls and questions.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Focus, reset and focus. I've learned you can't stay in one moment too long whether it be good or disappointing. Resetting after a home run is just as important as resetting from a strike out. Learning for myself & sharing insights is important to strengthen the team's overall performance.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Fairview High School Sport Medicine Club

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a catcher, I have developed a relationship with my pitchers that balances encouragement, celebrations & location or release feedback. I work with the pitching coaches of what pitches are working best. Re: community service, I am leading & reintroducing youth softball camps for my HS. I have gotten sponsorship from my HS coaches & positive support from my HS team mates for camps Spring '25.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I found auditioning for theatrical roles to be a healthy challenge every time I pursued a role. Unlike a team sport, there isn't a designated role that I would be slotted into. I had to present myself to the best of my ability and fully accept the role I was cast into.

What type of college are you looking for?

University environment that has a strong reputation for academic excellence in Sports Medicine and /or Sports Psychology and overall athletics programs.
