About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Plays with an aggressive, high-impact style that sets the tone on both offense and defense. At the plate, I am a power hitter with a confident, consistent, controlled swing. Defensively, I am a strong corner player both at 1st and 3rd. I am also a RHP.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is I am a competitive leader both in and off the field. I constantly strive to improve my game and the person you can rely on in big moments.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in my schools Mini-Thon, Mental Health Council and Link Crew. I also play volleyball both for school and club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I posses strong leadership qualities both on and off the field. I am a hard worker in the classroom, ranking in the top 5% of my class academically.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Like many athletes, I’ve faced my share of challenges—moments that tested my focus, determination, and love for the game. Whether it was pushing through a slump at the plate, competing for playing time, or learning how to balance a demanding schedule of school and softball, I’ve always met obstacles with the mindset of getting better, not bitter.

Coming into her junior year, Ava Legath Ava Legath Ava Legath 3B/RHP Wilson | 2027 PA is a name to watch. In 50 plate appearances, she batted an impressive .585 with 24 hits, including four doubles and a triple, while posting a .640 on-base percentage. She struck out just once all season and drew seven walks, showcasing elite discipline at the plate. But Legath doesn’t just get it done in the box, since she’s also a force in the circle. Armed with a five-pitch arsenal, her fastball tops out at 59 mph and is complemented by a nasty changeup, drop, rise, and screwball that keep hitters off balance. A true dual threat, Legath continues to prove she’s a rising star, backed by the work ethic and skill set to match.
