About Annabel

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m all business on the mound and in the box, but I’m also my teammates biggest cheerleader both on the field and in the dugout.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I show confidence in high pressure situations and I’m resilient.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Softball has taught me to lead by example. I show up early, hustle hard, and respect my coaches and teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenge has been coming back from a knee injury my first year of 14U. It was hard not being on the field and mentally hard knowing I could do better while I was recovering.

What type of college are you looking for?

A large school with a top notch Forensic Science program and a softball program with long-standing, strong coaches that expect 100% from their athletes.

Annabel Sherman Annabel Sherman Annabel Sherman RHP/SS Norco | 2029 CA ‘s hometown of Norco has long been a softball hotbed, and she looks like the next great player to come from the city known as “Horsetown, USA.” Sherman maintains her confidence and resilience in high-pressure situations and worked her way back from a knee injury in her first year playing 14U. At the Zoom Into June tournament early in the summer, Sherman blasted three home runs, including a walk-off three-run shot. Her exit velocity has reached 72.8 miles per hour, and she brings the heat in the circle as well, using her fastball to get ahead in the count before finishing hitters off with her rise ball and breaking pitches. She is also a serious student, carrying a 4.0 GPA, and hopes to study forensic science in college.
