About Anna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is always team first! Whatever it takes, whether it is laying down a bunt, moving the runner over, or running the defense, I'm willing to do so. Need someone leading cheers in the dugout? I got you. I play hard and practice harder. I just love being on the field and all things softball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is VERY outgoing. I've never met a stranger. My mentality is to always play the game with a positive attitude and try to lift everyone up around me. I don't want teammates being hard on themselves and I do everything I can to provide 'that' spark.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I attend First Baptist Church in Millington TN, enjoy camping, boating, and travel with my family.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a strong work ethic, the ability to lead without it going to my head, working as a team to achieve a common goal, and the ability to help build up any and all programs that I've been involved with.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My biggest challenge is the 'snowball effect'. Sometimes when I make an error or bad play, I can feel out of it and I try not to let it spiral into multiple mistakes. For this, I've developed a system where I like to tap my chest protector or heartbeat where it slows things down and calms me. That way I can flush the play and move on to the next!

What type of college are you looking for?

Right now, I'm very early in my recruiting process, so I'm open to any and all colleges as I don't know what level I'll end up being skill wise. Lots of players have D1 aspirations and get too focused on those 'big schools'. However, there is a very limited number of spaces for a large amount of athletes. Right now I'm just continuing to develop and work hard to be the best player and I can be.
