About Amanda

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am dominant in the circle as well as at the plate. I work hard outside of practice and I love it. I am constantly learning and sharpening my skills to add to my game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My sport is all mental. I am constantly looking for what to do next whether I'm ion the circle or at the plate. I pay attention to everything I can make the best decision in the moment. If something doesn't go my way, I own it and move on. If something goes my way, you better believe I celebrate it. My job is to talk to my teammates and make sure everyone is focused while still having fun.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a leader on and off the field. I enjoy learning new things and helping others accomplish what they want to achieve. I have learned at a young age, I can't do everything on my own. I have to rely on others to get the outcome that I want. It feels good to give back.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am currently out with a weight lifting injury and this has tested my mental and emotional strength. I was scared I was going to be told I could never play ball again. My injury will heal, but it will take time. The words I was and wasn't looking forward to. I work so hard at my craft. Every PT appointment I am getting stronger and will face that challenge once I get released. I am a fighter!

What type of college are you looking for?

I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up. I am interested in science maybe doing something in this field. I also am interested right now in being a lawyer.
