About Alysa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My style is driven by quickness, reaction time and pace of the game. At the plate I can hit for average, advancing runners and power. On defense I pride myself in covering a lot of ground, attacking the ball and communicating with my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is generally quiet, easy going and fun around my teammates. However when I’m on the field I’m locked in. My mentality is to slow the game down while taking every play one at a time. I’ve put in the work outside of the game so going in I have a lot of the confidence. I also have a short memory when I fail and build on momentum when I succeed.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve been the youngest player on my team for many years. That has taught me to balance being a leader by example and also starting to show my voice as well. I’ve had the opportunity to do community service at a few local organizations. This has helped me to value the impact that those organizations provide to others and hopefully I can have more impact as I continue to grow.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that can align my future academic goals, help me contribute to my community and push me to be the best softball player I can be.
