Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Aggressive and Strategic. I tend to be aggressive in the field and at the plate but also play with strategy in mind. Checking where each defensive player is when I’m at the plate helps to determine which way I want to hit the ball or ideally where to place it on a bunt.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I love to have fun. I tend to be one of the loudest in the dugout and on the field. I love the game and I love my teammates. I go all in, all the time, no matter what. No excuses.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in FCA at my high school, as well as National Honor Society.
I received the Freshman Female of the Year award last year, which was voted on by the principals at my high school. I was very honored to receive it.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I think that being one of the youngest on my travel team has helped me more than anything in developing the leadership mentality and role. As a catcher, it’s crucial to take the role on, and my team has responded.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I think just overall with playing and competing at the level of softball I do while living with Type 1 Diabetes has been my biggest challenge. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and it is still a learning experience for me, and even for my parents. But they do everything they can to help make things easier for me and help monitor my numbers as well when I’m playing.
What type of college are you looking for?
A family atmosphere. I want to go to a place that feels like home, both as a college and as softball program.
