Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a righty that is a triple threat lefty batting. I can use my speed with bunts or soft slaps, placement to drop singles, or use power to swing away or hard slap depending on the situation and how the defense plays me. In the infield I use my speed and glove to make plays all over the field.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m a really competitive person. Always focused on doing my best and giving 100% effort. I use positive self talk to help keep me positive when I struggle or when we’re not playing great.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I’m part of National Honor Society and Leadership program at my school.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Sports have helped me learn work ethic, teamwork, competitiveness, staying positive, and not giving up when things are hard.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I tore my left labrum when sliding head first into a base last fall. Played through it during the rest of volleyball, but had to have surgery and missed basketball. Had to do a lot of one arm swing and throwing work in the winter during shoulder rehab. Worked hard during the winter to get stronger and get ready for softball. Made varsity as a freshman and then all conference and all district.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m going to major in exercise science or kinesiology and then eventually become a Physical Therapist. Looking for a college that has my major and that I can play softball at on a scholarship. Looking at different D1 & D2 schools in NC & SC mainly.
