About Alexa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Determined, but I always try to be confident and relaxed going into a game which I feel is not only good for my mindset but hopefully is absorbed by my team mates, also.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m outgoing, personable and fun most often. But, I can also be an analyzer, and serious when the situation calls for it, as well as the fact that I’m competitive and determined. I also though, enjoy a good time and excitement.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received academic awards and I am involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a Young Life Leader, which I greatly enjoy.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing sports for as long as I have, teamwork is something that comes natural for me anymore. Being an older, or even at times a more experienced player on a team has put me in a leadership position. Also, being a Young Life leader is that in itself. Whether at school, playing ball, in life or leading a flood relief service project, I’m proud to possess these skills & qualities.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Dealing with any kind of injury, even if minor, can be a big challenge. From the physical to the mental it can seem like a huge hurdle. Pushing through, being positive and setting your mind to keep striving is not always easy but very important. It’s also important to have optimistic people around and to be optimistic for others when they need it, too!

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m currently uncommitted, but have been to several schools all over. I’m really not looking for a specific ‘type’ of school. My comfort zone with the school and softball/athletics is what’s most important to me, along with the ability to get a great education.
