Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a high energy player...I never give up and give 100% all of the time. My coach calls me a work horse in the circle and she says I always want the ball in my hands, which is very true. I try to be positive and keep my team up thru the whole game. I try to lead by example with my attitude and energy!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I use to always get down on myself if I struck out or walked a couple batters. If we lost a game I would blame myself....I am so proud to say I have learned that this is a game of failures and I am not perfect...we have to move on from our last mistake and learn from it so we do better on the next pitch or at bat.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in Spanish club, prep club and TEAM.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I think I have developed some great leadership skills playing on my Thunder team for the last 4 years. I also have learned to a lot about community service thru the work that my softball, volleyball and basketball teams do at my school. It makes me a well rounded person who appreciates everything life has given me and it makes me want to work hard for my teammates and my loved ones

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many challenges in my life. The first would be losing my godfather when I was 7....he was everything to me and I still feel that loss everyday. The second would be being diagnosed with severe scoliosis and having to have spinal fusion surgery from my T3-L2....then getting a severe infection and having to go back into the hospital for 2 more back surgeries in my 8th grade year.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that I can pitch ,hit, and play defense. I want to do everything! I love softball and want to play. I also want to find like-minded athletes who want to be the best version of themselves. I also want to make sure I can still major in what I want while still playing softball. I think I will know it when I see it and meet the girls on the team
