About Acadia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Aggressive, but in control. High softball IQ both as a fielder and base runner. I like to stay positive even when we are down. I keep the energy high in the dugout and encourage the team to do the same thing. I always believe we will prevail, and I try not to let negative feelings impact my play on the field.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love sports. Really anything with a ball. I play Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball but Softball is my primary sport. My dad tells me that I need to work on not being frustrated when I pick up something new and I'm not immediately good at it. This is probably true. I think this attitude comes from competing with my older sister all my life who is naturally good at almost everything she does.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have consistently made honor roll and been recognized for near perfect attendance at school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am very involved with my church and have leadership responsibilities among the girls that are in my age group. We plan weekly activities and do lots of service projects for individuals and the community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I attend early morning Seminary with my local Church which starts at 6:30 AM before school. This has been very challenging for me to wake up early every morning even on nights we have travel for Sports. I plan on graduating from Seminary with a 4-year certificate and I am very proud of this accomplishment (especially since I had to do it before School starts).

What type of college are you looking for?

I am leaning towards Health sciences or business right now, but I am still undecided. I am looking at schools that offer both of these career paths.
