Top Uncommitted 2026 Prospects From Delaware

Delaware may be small, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of talented young softball players in the state. Many names in recent classes have already impacted Division 1 schools, contributing to the success of some great college programs throughout the country.   As we wind down the year, let's take a look at five of the top uncommitted softball players from Delaware in the class of 2026.    Samantha quickly rolls through most lineups she faces. Whether its at Odessa or in the multiple showcases she participates in with her travel ball team, this powerful righty is rocketing up the recruiting board in Delaware. Utilizing a sweeping windup, Samantha can overpower hitters with a plus fastball that dives right or confuse hitters with an expanding arsenal of offspeed pitches. She certainly will need next year to develop her command a bit more, especially on her offspeed pitches. However, if Samantha can nail down three to four lock-down pitches, she can likely perform at a high level for a college pitching staff. Even if pitching doesn't work out for her in college, Samantha still boasts a power bat that can slide into the heart of any order and produce consistently.     Tanai is the epitome of a versatile softball player. Check her recruiting profiles, and the entire field is lit up with green marks to show that yes, if it's one of the eight positions in the outfield, Tanai has played there. That alone will draw eyes to her from college coaches. Then the honors start jumping out at you, and it's clear why Tanai is a recruit to watch out of the 2026 class. She finished up last high school season by earning Second-Team All-State and First-Team All-Conference honors, as well as bringing home Underclassmen Female Athlete of the Year for a second straight time at William Penn. If Tanai can continue to expand her range, grow her throwing capabilities, and become a dependable bat, then it's going to be hard for colleges to pass on her.     Gracie is a versatile, glove-first player with the skills to lock down nearly every position on the softball field. Because her range is so acutely developed, Gracie mainly plays the infield for DMA and in travel ball, but she can be placed in the outfield as well, thanks to her strong arm. The flexibility she offers her teams is going to benefit her over the next two seasons as she continues to develop and figure out where she will play at the collegiate level. She's coming off a First-Team All-Conference honor and a Second-Team All-State selection for DMA at first base, further showcasing her versatility on the diamond.     It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters, and Kaitlyn knows that mantra better than most people. Despite standing at just five foot one, she is a force on the softball field. As a freshman, the speedster batted .564 with 31 hits (all singles), while stealing 10 bases and scoring 23 runs. With that sort of ability at a young age, it's only a matter of time before she bursts onto the national scene as an up-and-coming leadoff hitter. Kaitlyn can develop herself into a slap-hitting machine who is a nightmare on the base paths for opposing teams, and find her way into a significant role for any college softball program.     Khloe is yet another player who had a memorable freshman season and never looked back. She's a shifty middle infielder who is starting to get noticed by college coaches at high-level showcases. Though her exit velocity is currently hovering around 60 mph and her arm may not be strong enough—at least at the moment—for third base, Khloe has demonstrated that she has what it takes to play in college. If she can have another strong year at Laurel, and an even better summer season against higher-level competition, Khloe can carve out a solid name for herself as Division 1 schools wrap up their 2026 recruiting classes.
