A successful sophomore season is the first step for prospects to open more doors toward their biggest goal: advancing to the next level of softball at the collegiate level.   We will be watching these 2027 prospects from Tennessee extra closely this season. Each talented player listed below has an incredible work ethic, and several are the best players on their high school and club teams.    Haylen's work ethic is incredible. Juggling two sports in school and travel, she works diligently to grow her game on the field. As a slapper, her speed is unmatched, and her success rate of stealing is near 100%. She has a wide arsenal at the plate, including soft slap, power slap, sneaky bunt, and swing away for power. In her freshman season, she batted .681 with six home runs and 11 stolen bases. Haylen is a top middle infielder and outfielder because of her quick feet and willingness to make a big play.     Kyleigh Goode is a threat at and behind the plate. She is a competitor who brings some pop with her bat and can also hit for average. In her freshman season, Kyleigh batted .333 with an on-base percentage of .449. One of the best parts of Kyleigh's game is her consistency at the plate. She is a fiery catcher who's learning to control the field and solidify the dish for any pitcher she catches. She has a presence about her and a big voice behind the plate, with the ability to lead in big moments. Kyleigh also tracks the ball well and has a quick transfer.     Kloe is a special player on the field and in the box. As a freshman, she batted .493 with nine doubles and five home runs. She was the leadoff batter and starting shortstop for her high school squad, but she can play anywhere on the field. Kloe led her team in batting average, home runs, and stolen bases. Her power in the box carries over to club ball, where she finished this summer with a .400 BA, .447 OPS, and a .614 SLG. She's a middle-infield standout with great hands and quick feet, who is able to make difficult plays look easy. Kloe is a true team player and constantly puts the team before herself. She is one of those players you hear about, but until you see and meet her, you will not get the true picture of who she is and what she can do on the field.     Madi Kemp is an aggressive competitor who will lay her body out for a play, both defensively and on the base paths. She truly cares about the success of her teammates, and she always asks what she can do to be better for the team. She is a terror running the bases with a sub-2.8 speed, and she's also able to read the defense and act with exceptional instincts. She has remarkable power, hitting six home runs as a freshman and two in travel ball as well. With her speed, she covers the outfield well and reads the ball off the bat like a pro. Some of Madi's accolades include All-District 5-2A, All-Tournament team, and All-Mid-State honors.     Addie Wilhoit is a quiet leader on the softball field, gaining the favor of her teammates and coaches through her work ethic and reliability. Addie performs well under pressure and is known for her consistency in all aspects of the game. Defensively, she is one of the best in the infield in her class. Her range is amazing, and it allows her to cover a ton of ground efficiently. She handles difficult plays with ease, making her defensive skills undeniable. At the plate, she hits for both power and average. Her summer season stats include a batting average of .447, a .500 on-base percentage, seven home runs, and 30 RBI.
