Kennedy Lopez shined brightly this summer, batting .522 and reaching base at a .607 clip while stealing five bases and not making a single error. That came after a spring in which she was named first-team all-district as a high school freshman, putting up a .455 average and 1.190 OPS with 11 doubles, five triples, two home runs and 23 steals. Lopez has outstanding pitch recognition skills, laying off easily on outside pitches and waiting back on changeups to make solid contact. While she mostly plays shortstop, she showcased her versatility over the summer by spending time in center field. Lopez is a two-time USA All-American and a three-time USA Softball High Performance Program invitee.
