Charlee Cavanaugh pays special attention to her fielding skills as the middle infielder continues her softball journey. She recently spent time working on her infield spin throw and turning double plays. While also playing shortstop, Cavanaugh hit .500 with nine runs batted in at the IMG Alliance Qualifier to start October. In a September game to start the fall season, Cavanaugh helped turn a double play to hold the deficit at one before walking off the game with a two-run triple.
Leah Coughlan moved up to the 16U level with her Firecrackers team at the start of the fall and is performing at a high level. Defensively, she has the ability to play almost anywhere on the field. She plays most at third base, where she turns double plays and prevents opponents from reaching base on a bunt. At the plate, she hit .636 in the On Deck Showcase and is a great bat to put anywhere in the order. Coughlan's all-around skill set makes her poised for success in softball going forward.
