Fall Standouts Who Are Becoming Difficult To Overlook

Fall ball is giving players across the country a chance to make their mark. And several prospects are doing just that, having stood out in recent weeks and given us plenty of reasons to keep watching them. Below, Prep Softball highlights five fall ball standouts who are becoming difficult for college coaches to overlook. Hayley Brannon is a 5'6" center fielder from Atlanta, Ga., who attends Whitefield Academy and competes for Armor Elite Ogletree in travel ball. The 2029 prospect recently returned to the field after surgery and has quickly started finding her rhythm again on both sides of the ball. In a matchup against Woodland, Brannon went 2-for-5 with a home run, which was her first since returning from surgery, and a double while also making several plays in center field. She also posted a 2-for-2 performance against Mt. Vernon, building momentum as she gets back to full strength. Brannon's early production after an absence makes her a 2029 prospect worth following as she settles back into game action. Kinley Buergler is a 5'8" first baseman and outfielder from Valparaiso, Ind., who competes for Indiana Gators Premier Swiatkowski-Lloyd 14U on the club circuit. A right-handed hitter and thrower, Buergler has taken a noticeable step forward this fall, showing growth at the plate while emerging as a leader on the field. She has posted a 70-mph exit velocity and a 64-mph throwing velocity, showcasing strength in her game. Buergler also brings an intriguing combination of size, athleticism, and speed to first base, giving her the versatility to make an impact at multiple positions on the diamond. Her continued offensive development and well-rounded athletic tools make her a 2030 prospect to follow. Rylee Davis is a 2029 catcher from Phenix City, Ala., who competes for Central Phenix City and Southern Force National 16U in travel ball. A right-handed hitter and thrower, Davis brings a strong arm behind the plate, registering a 68 mph overhand velocity. Her tools have earned her recognition on a larger stage, including an invitation to the 2026 USA Softball High Performance Program. Davis is also a multi-sport athlete who competes in flag football, adding another layer to her athletic profile. She has already attended multiple college camps and clinics, gaining exposure to the next level while continuing to develop her game. With her arm strength, athleticism, and experience against quality competition, Davis is a 2029 catcher to keep an eye on. Tynlee Beth Mitchell is a versatile 2030 prospect from Ardmore, Tenn., who competes for Ardmore High School and Southern Force National 16U-Hewitt in club ball. A catcher, middle infielder, and utility player, Mitchell brings defensive versatility with impressive tools behind the plate. Her fastest pop time was 1.71 seconds, while she averages 1.83 seconds, showcasing the quickness and arm strength that make her an intriguing catching prospect. Mitchell also excels in the classroom, carrying a 4.0 GPA and serving as a member of the National Beta Club. Her combination of versatility, sound tools, and academic success makes Mitchell a well-rounded 2030 prospect to follow. Lizzy Silva is a 5'9" outfielder in the 2028 class who competes for Siegel High School and Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier 2027 in travel ball. She put together a productive summer with the Bolts, finishing with a .365 batting average, .447 on-base percentage, and four home runs.
