2032 Prospects Making Their Mark This Fall

As the temperatures cool down and the brisk fall weather arrives, softball players across the country are putting up eye-popping numbers on the field. For 2032 prospects, it is the perfect time to make sure college coaches know their names for the future. Below, Prep Softball highlights five prospects from the high school class of 2032 who are making their mark this fall. Coming to the plate in a do-or-die situation requires composure, for sure. But it also requires skill and tenacity, and Aubrey Fedie has all three. With the Midwest Aftershock down two with two runners on and facing their final out, Fedie was called on to make some magic. She waited back on a changeup, put her weight on her back leg, and blasted a walk-off three-run home run over the left field wall. That long ball wasn't the first of her fall season, either. Fedie has power to all fields, and can especially turn on an inside pitch. She also has impressive speed on her rise ball in the circle and can work the corners effectively. She is an all-around fun athlete to watch. Accomplished hitters can hit the ball where they're pitched. When Heidi Ward faced a fastball on the outer edge of the plate, she went the other way and hit a long ball. At the same time, when faced with a fastball down the middle, she ripped a bomb over the center field wall. She makes it hard for pitchers to know where to attack her, and that allows her opportunities to do more damage. She is also elite defensively. After many hours of practice off the field, she already has an average pop time of under two seconds. She also has an accurate arm, and communicates well with her infielders. She is a terrific catcher in the making. When Brynlee Sisel is locked in, it's almost impossible to stop her. Case in point, at the first tournament of her fall ball season, she had five hits on day one, including an inside-the-park home run, a no-hitter in the circle, and six strikeouts in four innings pitched. Later in September, at the Top Gun Events Fall KC Invite, she had seven hits for the tournament, along with five RBIs and 10 runs scored. She has a fluid, simple swing and can drive the ball into the outfield gaps. She also has plenty of speed, and if you're not looking, she will take the extra base. As a multi-sport athlete in cross country, she has the stamina needed to excel. Sometimes, keeping it simple is the best approach. Sydney Poling is quick to the ball with her short swing that packs a pop and has no wasted motion. She makes contact and hits the ground running. She also excels at the fundamentals and can be called upon to lay down a sacrifice with confidence. Defensively, she covers a lot of ground and is adept at playing third, first, and in the outfield. She has a strong arm, good reflexes, and keeps her head in the game. As fall ball continues, look for her to continue her impressive production. Hard work pays off, and for Lia Vukelic, it was put on display with a moonshot hit over the left field wall. The Illinois slugger notched her first home run of the fall ball season recently, and by the looks of it, it won't be nearly her last. She already has many accolades to her name, including being named to the All-Conference Team after finishing her junior high season. She battles at the plate and makes adjustments on the fly. She also keeps baserunners in check with mechanically sound blocking and accurate throws to her infielders. Most important of all, she is a competitor and is well-positioned for a successful playing career ahead.
