Rawlins Williams has elite competitive instincts and range for any class, and she is certainly setting herself apart from the general shortstop group in the 2030 class. She stays low to the ground as she scans the field, and her ability to read bad hops is comparable to that of Gold Glove–winning shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. Williams is an enjoyable player to watch as she never gives up on a play and is always willing to give an extra 10% effort to either make the play or keep the runner from advancing. Those little things make a big difference to college coaches. Offensively, Williams has set a standard for herself that is relentless. Her bat speed is advanced for her class, and her barrel-to-ball consistency routinely produces line drives into outfield gaps, where she can then use her speed to force high-pressure situations on opposing defenses.
