About Elianna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play to dominate my opponent in the pitchers circle with my spin pitches. I like to keep the batter guessing. I'm hunting strikeouts and weak contact. I also work in tandem with my catcher, we work to be great together.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a team player who just loves to play. I get excited about great plays that my teammates make and feel confident that we all lift each other up and support each other. I work on getting the next out, or getting set for the next pitch. Keep moving forward.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I received the hard hat/hard worker award in my Math 9 class, exemplary student award in Foods 9.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have instructed pitching lessons for the younger players in my softball association and volunteered at softball camps. This has helped me with public speaking, leadership on the field and at school, and with my overall confidence communicating with parents and adults.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

To date, my most significant challenge was attending a new high school in grade 8 where I only knew 2 or 3 other students. I have made so many new friends, choosing this school was one of the best decisions I have made even though it was a little nervous at the time.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a great school community with good academics for my field of study (exercise science/kinesiology), that is safe, that has big school spirit and that appreciates student athletes.
