Earlier this month, Taylor Woods was selected to participate in the MLB Elite Development Invitational in Florida, which will take place June 24-26. She is another player who can spend time as a pitcher, in addition to being a middle infielder. Woods also competes in track and field, and recently logged personal-bests in the discus throw and shot put. We at Prep Softball recognized her as a top 2030 prospect to watch in Kansas at the beginning of the calendar year. Understanding the importance of being in the right spots to make double plays and being willing to dive in the dirt to prevent batted balls from finding the outfield are among the many positives of Woods’ defensive efforts.
