Taylor Monroe has received plenty of coverage by us at Prep Softball for her excellent play. We have recognized her as a 2030 prospect who consistently produces runs as well as for being one of the top eighth grade prospects in Michigan. As someone who plays defense in the outfield, Monroe understands the importance of tracking down balls and then making accurate throws back into the infield. Monroe also throws with her left hand just as she bats from the left side as well. She is getting back into the swing of things after spending two weeks off the field with a foot injury.

We at Prep Softball recently spotlighted Taylor Monroe as one of our eighth-grade prospects to watch throughout Michigan. Monroe just earned an All-American nod and will represent the Great Lakes region this summer in Florida. She wears the Michigan Sabercats 13U Foster uniform, and in a recent 7-4 Sabercats victory, Monroe aided her team’s cause with a second-inning RBI single. Monroe was also credited with an RBI when her Sabercats prevailed in a 7-2 win over Elite 13U Holzgen in mid-November. Defensively, she primarily plays center field, but can also operate as a utility player who thrives at the plate as a left-handed slapper.
