At the recent Thunderbolts Showcase, the 2031 pitcher stepped into the circle at the 16U level and delivered eight strong innings, recording nine strikeouts while allowing just one earned run. Even more impressive, Leaver held opposing hitters to a .111 batting average, showing she can remain effective when facing more experienced lineups. Leaver continues to sharpen her pitching through private instruction, developing a drop ball and changeup that allow her to attack hitters in different ways and disrupt timing. She also competes in volleyball, adding another athletic element to her development.

Ohio native Myla Leaver, a member of the class of 2031, is already showing the traits of a true competitor in the circle. Pitching for Ohio Lasers 2030 Zedeker, Leaver pairs developing velocity with a fearless mentality, touching 62 mph in the circle while also posting a 63 mph overhand throwing velocity and a 68 mph exit velocity at the plate. A pitcher and utility player, she brings both versatility and toughness to the field. Known for wanting the ball when the game is on the line, Leaver’s confidence and composure under pressure make her one of the young prospects to watch as she continues to develop. She also maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA in the classroom.
