About Elaina

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am 2029 RHP that throws mid/high 60s. I take great pride in being able to spot pitches and consider my curve, rise and screw to be my best pitches. I have consistently thrown 64-65 and have new metrics showing 67. I am a power pitcher with confidence, poise, a quiet fire and powerful purpose.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to be a leader by example and keep my faith at the forefront of the highs and the lows. After experiencing a severe leg injury when I was 10 and fully recovering, I know that all of these opportunities can change in a moments notice. My mentality and personality are directly related to my faith in God and that he will be there through it all!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in my schools Renaissance, yearbook, and FCA clubs and our school Christmas angel tree project called BA Blessing. I am also involved with the Sideline Cancer in their fundraising efforts and playing for something Bigger than Sports!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed myself into a leader by example. A quiet leader that stays even throughout. I feel that this has led me to be someone that my teammates can turn to when the game gets difficult and know that we will be ok! I also feel like my involvement with Sideline Cancer has helped me realize that we don’t have to play, we get to play & that opportunity is more important than the outcome.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My severe leg injury at age 10 in a water tubing accident changed my perspective and made me grateful for every single chance I have to step on the field.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a D1 program that puts an emphasis on the importance of faith, family, school and softball. I want coaches that I connect with, will push me to reach my greatest potential on and off the field, and will make me be the best Lainey Stinson possible!
