About Tennley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am quick with lots of mobility. I am a catcher who can work with lefties and newer pitchers. I love outfield and middle infield.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a hard worker and I don’t give up. I am quiet but I am always listening. I am goofy once you get to know me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was a competitive gymnast for years and I hold a national championship title with my team. I have participated in 4-h for years and have been a reserve grand champion for my floral arrangement. I have also received my Girl Scout silver award.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Participating in Girl Scouts I have done a lot of community service. My mom was my troop leader and she believes in helping the community as much as possible so we are always helping at school for functions, including softball and volleyball pink out.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am very shy and some people mistake that for snobby. I struggle to speak publicly without turning red. I have to prepare myself and try my best to relax so I don’t turn red. I am very grateful for my sports because they have helped me to make really close friends. Their support helps my anxiety a lot.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am interested in a college with a football team. I plan to attend the career and tech school next year, so I hope to know more about my plans for a major. I am open to a larger school or a smaller one. I love to travel, so I’m open to out of state. I hope to balance sports/work load/ college experience as best as I can.
