About Brezlyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Im always present and in the moment. Locked in and focused on the task at hand, whether it be on the mound, at the corners or at the plate. I love the game and enjoy getting to take moments to celebrate with my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love bringing the joy to the team. I am a positive person that will accept and dive headfirst into the challenge being presented to me. I accept all rolls given and do my best to be at 100% all of the time.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Along with softball, I participate in high school basketball (2 year varsity letter winner), I participated in water polo (varsity letter winner) and enjoy giving pitching lessons to younger players.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through the years of being an athlete and a student I have developed many skills to help me succeed. I have learned that my leadership is shown through my hard work outside of sports season. I have learned that teamwork is what you make of it, being kind, respectful and having willingness to help everyone around me become the best version of themselves helps us achieve goals and dreams.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 7 years old. Having a disability that is not physically seen on the outside is a huge challenge because people do not believe that something is wrong. Im thankful that over the last 9 years I have had wonderful mentors, my family and Chris Dudley have taught me how to advocate for myself, make the best choices for me and make the invisible seen.

What type of college are you looking for?

Im looking for a college that feels like home.
