How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A determined, high-energy pitcher who gives 110% every time she steps on the field. Competes with grit, focus, and resilience—never backing down, no matter the score or situation. Known for being a true team player who does whatever it takes to help her team succeed, whether that means battling through tough innings, picking up teammates, or finding ways to get outs when it matters most.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Driven, competitive, and relentlessly positive. Approaches every game with a fighter’s mindset—always giving 110% and refusing to quit, no matter the challenge. Focused on finding ways to help the team succeed, whether that’s by leading with energy in the circle, encouraging teammates, or staying calm under pressure. Known for a strong work ethic, mental toughness, and genuine love for the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Ski Club Tyler Tough(Non-Profit for kids with cancer, www.tylertough.org) Active in my church

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Constantly works to improve command, movement, and velocity through dedication and discipline. Learns to stay composed under pressure and make smart, strategic decisions in tight situations. Builds strong leadership and communication skills by supporting teammates and setting the tone on and off the field. Demonstrates a relentless work ethic, consistency, and the ability to compete.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My brother was diagnosed with Leukemia when I was 10. For 2 1/2 years I watched him fight & battle for his life. My family was "fragmented" for 97 nights the first year, and 123 total, while my brother spent those nights in the hospital with one of my parents. I missed 1 practice and zero games during that time. Softball was my escape & Happy place.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college where I can succeed on and off the field, where I can reach my goal of becoming a pediatric oncology nurse or doctor.

Taylor Kruse Taylor Kruse Taylor Kruse RHP/1B Sacred Heart Academy(Buffalo) | 2030 NY is quickly establishing herself as one of New York’s top pitching prospects. Combining a strong arm with a high softball IQ, she has consistently impressed both in training and game performance. Wrapping up her fall season, Kruse threw 55 innings, recording 47 strikeouts while walking just 28 batters and posting a 64% strike percentage. Her fall performance was built on a stellar summer campaign, during which she pitched 145.1 innings with 210 strikeouts. At a recent tournament, she threw eight innings, allowing seven hits, five runs, two walks, and striking out 15, marking the milestone of 1,000 career strikeouts. Her drive to improve, dedication to attend camps, and focus on refining her craft make her a standout to coaches at every level. This offseason, Kruse has plenty to build on, and with her skill, mindset, and work ethic, she is poised to continue her rise as one of New York’s elite pitchers in her class.
