About Raelyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d say my gameplay style is aggressive but smart. I hustle on every play, stay vocal to keep my team’s energy up, and I’m always looking for ways to make something happen!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’d describe my mentality as competitive and determined. I don’t like to give up on anything, whether it’s an at-bat, a play in the field, or even practice reps!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I like to volunteer and help out with younger students whenever I have the opportunity, but I am not currently involved with any clubs!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve really grown in leadership and teamwork through softball. I’ve learned how important it is to communicate on the field and encourage my teammates, even when things aren’t going our way!

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

There’ve been stretches where nothing felt right at the plate. Instead of panicking, I broke things down with my coach, worked on small mechanical fixes, and trusted the process. It taught me to be analytical and not get down on myself!

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that’s competitive both on the field and in the classroom. I want a program where the coaches push me to grow as a player, but also care about me as a person and student. A strong team culture, where everyone works hard and supports each other, is really important to me!
