About Ellie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a focused, driven, and energetic player. I like fast paced! I love offense and being on the bases. Being a slapper, I like to keep the defense guessing!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Team first, focused, driven to work hard player!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of Beta club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Student Government. I received the Patriot Award at Wardlaw Academy, given to a student who exemplifies school spirit and have been on High Honor Roll all through middle school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned to be a leader in the multiply sports that I play! I have worked hard in moving past a mistake and not carrying it with me to the next play. I’m learning to play fearless without the fear of failing. I am learning to stay strong in my faith while being a competitive athlete and lead young athletes like myself to play with a purpose!

What type of college are you looking for?

Small town feel with a big and exciting environment!

Ellie Yonce Ellie Yonce Ellie Yonce LF/2B Wardlaw Academy | 2030 SC maintains an active athletic schedule between what she gets accomplished during the spring on the softball diamond and in the fall on the volleyball court. She was recently selected as part of a 14-girl roster to represent Athletics Gold Tamborra 2030 Orebaugh. Yonce got the opportunity to participate in nine games last season for SCISA 1A Wardlaw Academy. She made the most of her opportunity and then some. Yonce batted .438 with 14 singles, 13 runs scored and 11 RBIs. She also recently began giving cross country a try as well. Yonce managed a fair amount of plate appearances in that timespan as well, with 33 to be exact.
