Back in October, she played up in class among 16U prospects at the Ray Seymour Invitational. Crook held her own against more experienced competition by batting .500 with an on-base percentage of .615, plus four walks and six stolen bases. Crook also recently clocked 67 miles per hour with her overhand throw. That throwing speed combined with accuracy will throw out many would-be baserunners and run scorers. The Celtics of 2A Trinity Catholic finished last season with a 22-9 record and earned a berth in the state semifinals.
