Makenzie Leidecker recently landed an invite to USA Softball’s 2026 High Performance Program. Before she makes that early December stop in Florida, she is also transitioning to a new team, as she will now wear the uniform of Tennessee Mojo Pardue. Leidecker previously was part of Birmingham Bolts Whitaker 2029/2030. At the Sparkler in early July, she batted .462 for a team that went 6-2 in Colorado. Leidecker also helped her team to a third-place finish at PGF Nationals in California. We at Prep Softball recently recognized the Scott County standout as a top 100 player in the class of 2029. 

Makenzie Leidecker Makenzie Leidecker 5'7" | RHP/INF Scott County | 2029 #96 Nation KY put together one of the most impressive fall seasons of any 2029 prospect in Kentucky, consistently delivering in high pressure moments against top-level competition. Competing against some of the nation’s strongest lineups, she finished the fall with an outstanding 0.56 ERA, showing poise, toughness, and the ability to navigate elite offenses. Her impact was on full display at the 14U Clearwater Invitational, where her team went undefeated to claim the championship. Leidecker delivered the walk-off hit in the international tiebreaker and did not allow a single earned run in the circle throughout the event. She continued to challenge herself by playing up at the 16U level, going 4-1 at the Champions Fastpitch Academy Showcase. At the plate, she hit .429 with six hits, three extra-base hits, and a home run, while also contributing in the circle with nine innings pitched and just one earned run allowed for a 0.77 ERA. Leidecker is also actively attending college camps, and her ability to excel offensively and defensively against older competition makes her a dynamic prospect with a proven track record of winning.

Makenzie Leidecker Makenzie Leidecker 5'7" | RHP/INF Scott County | 2029 #96 Nation KY was a major part of an undefeated record for the Birmingham Thunderbolts this past weekend at the Clearwater Fall Classic. In the circle, Leidecker allowed one run in 4.1 innings of work, striking out two batters. At the plate, she ended her tournament with a walk-off RBI double in the championship game to finish off her team’s perfect record. Over the summer, Leidecker visited Florida, Auburn and Kentucky, and also attended an LSU camp held in Colorado.
