There may not be a softball player in the Midwest with a better eye for the strike zone than Aedre Ault. The freshman has drawn 25 walks so far for the Eastern Eagles at the time of this writing, compared with only three strikeouts. And when she gets on base, good luck trying to catch her. In 21 games played this season, she already has 27 stolen bases. Perhaps most impressive for Ault, she currently leads all of Ohio in runs scored with 53 in only 86 plate appearances. That means when Ault comes to the plate, she has a nearly 62% chance of scoring a run. How's that for a secret weapon? The southern Ohio product also has 21 extra-base hits on the season, including seven triples and 10 doubles.

Izzy Swisher is as consistent as it gets at the plate. In 21 games played at the time of this writing, the freshman has 33 runs scored, 33 hits, and 30 RBIs for the Jackson Ironladies of Jackson, Ohio. She currently leads her team in on-base percentage (.539), home runs (6), stolen bases (23), runs (33), RBIs (30), and slugging percentage (0.853). She is always a power threat as the Unioto Shermans found out earlier this season when she hit three home runs in one game. She is also quick on her feet and has good range while defending in the infield. She is making a statement this season and has helped the Ironladies to a 17-4 record, while putting her name out there as one to watch.

Kalli Ordiway is not your ordinary high school softball player. She leads all freshmen in the state of Michigan in RBIs with 29 so far this season. She also has a batting average of .400 to go along with 24 runs scored, 22 hits, five triples, four doubles, and two home runs this season. However, what really makes her stand out is that she also has a 6-2 record in the circle for the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds, including 79 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.35. She ranks second in ERA and third in wins and strikeouts among all freshmen in Michigan. Her solid performance in the circle, along with her offensive exploits, have led the Greyhounds to a 15-4 record at the time of this writing, and they are currently outscoring their opponents 208-59 this year.

Some players are just born hitters and Skye Rojek checks all of those boxes. The freshman has an unbelievable 25 hits in only 32 at-bats for a .781 batting average this season at the time of this writing. Adding on to that, she has 20 RBIs, 12 doubles, an on-base percentage of .841, and 31 stolen bases. She ranks second among all players in Illinois in batting average and on-base percentage. She's no slouch on defense either, currently sporting zero errors on 52 putouts. With her speed, her innate ability to get on base, and her defensive prowess, her recruiting stock is certain to continue rising.

Lily Freedman is not only one of the best pitchers in Illinois, but she's also one of the best up-and-coming hurlers in the country. In 84 innings pitched for the Highland Park Giants this season, Freedman has 170 strikeouts compared to only 20 walks, and also has an opponent batting average of .216 at the time of this writing. To put things into perspective, out of all the batters she has faced so far this season, she has struck out nearly half of them. With Freedman in the circle, the Giants are off to their best start in over 10 years and are looking to make a deep run in the postseason. The good news for the Giants is that Freedman is already used to winning, having won the North American Fastpitch Association's Midwest Nationals Tournament last year with her former travel ball team, Deerfield Youth Softball. Freedman collected 362 strikeouts and only 14 walks for Deerfield during that successful campaign.
