Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay style is patient but aggressive. In the field, I’ll do whatever it takes to get the out, often finding fences in the outfield. When I’m on the mound, I like to get ahead early in the count and then play with more movement. At the plate, depending on game situations, I am pretty patient. I can hit for power or bunt. I’m an aggressive base runner so I like to find way to get on base.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m passionate and I love this game but it is just a game. It does not define me. God gave me this gift to glorify him and, as long as I’m doing that, I’ll be content with myself no matter what.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Beta Club, First Priority, Key Club, Vice President of Student Council, & 4-H Teen Leader.
I won County Showmanship award for 4H. I was elected Freshman Homecoming Princess.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed a leadership skill that I didn’t know I had. I have learned that by encouraging others on the field & off, gives them confidence to develop skills they didn’t know they had. I developed this through softball and my community service through my various clubs.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
This past year I injured my shoulder playing volleyball for my high school. I had never experienced an injury that had me benched for an extended period of time before. I was u able to pitch for 3 months and have been working to get back ever since. I’m not where I want to be, but I know with God and hard work, I’ll be right where I need to be.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m not too picky on campus culture, I feel I would be fine with smaller or larger population. I would like to find a faith based organization to join so a college that focuses on inclusiveness would be great. I would also want to live on campus with other athletes.
