About Alexis

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My name is Alexis and I am an outfielder. I love softball and I work to try my best every game. If a distraction or mistake happens, I learn to brush it off immediately, reminding myself nobody is perfect and that we only get better each time we’re on the field.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love softball and I strive to practice this sport whenever I have the opportunity. I learn to be in the moment each time at bat. I learn to tear away other distractions that may keep me from playing my best.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in a travel club for softball in Indiana. I am on Aces 14U coached by Scott Weber. I plan to attend more highschool clubs in my sophomore year. I also play highschool basketball. I have recieved both athletic and non athletic awards. I have recieved a silver key award for an art piece that is held in the South Bend Museum of Art.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Not only have I been developing my skills in physical characteristics but I have also improved with communication with my teammates. I have learned to be more proactive with everyone on my team, making sure I get as close to them as possible as I know team bonding can be very important.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many challenges both inside and outside of softball. There was a period recently where I have had consistent strike outs, causing me to break down mentally. It was at the time where I discovered I was interested in playing college softball. I wanted to do so good, that I forgot about the entertainment softball has to offer, my teammates, and how I truly played. Yet, I kept pushing.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am interested in any of the NCAA colleges. In other words, anywhere from D1, D2, and D3.
