Mackenzie Sease's high school career previously saw her sport the purple and gold of Swansea. She has since brought her softball talents further into the Midlands at 4A Gray Collegiate. In her final season with the Tigers, she got the job done at the plate—via a batting average of .459—and in the circle by striking out 131 batters. Her War Eagles started the 2025 season in noteworthy fashion with victories over Seneca, Byrnes and Union County. Her travel softball career has included stints with Palmetto Elite and LLG. One can expect her profile to only grow between now and the time she graduates in three years.

Lily Brinson's 5A Fort Dorchester squad is already showing signs that it will improve from its 2024 showing. Her play is a massive reason why the Patriots have been able to improve this season. Through the five games Fort Dorchester played at the time of this writing, Brinson is batting a robust .538. She already has seven hits on the young season—not to mention three doubles. Her cleats have made contact with home plate on five different occasions and she has also plated eight more runs. Along with being a pitcher, Brinson has been part of her team's defensive lineup at first base as well as at third base.

Kylee Warehime's 5A Carolina Forest team recently took part in the Pee Dee Pitch-Off at 4A South Florence and the Freedom Florence Complex. She turned in an impressive showing for her Panthers, as she hit .500 with six hits—not to mention a pair of doubles and a triple. Warehime also displayed how proficient she can be with her arm, as she threw out a couple of runners on plays in the field. Overall, Warehime's play has been a crucial reason why Carolina Forest began its 2025 campaign with a 5-2 record. She has played as a catcher and first baseman, along with spending a bit of time at shortstop throughout her career to date.

Shelby Compton has spent plenty of time within the Top Notch travel organization throughout her playing career. When one earns a spot on a varsity team as a seventh grader, as was the case for Compton, a program like 4A Westside realizes it has a special talent sporting its colors. As an eighth grader, Compton was a force to be reckoned with on the basepaths, as she stole seven bases. Through four games this season, she already has five stolen bases. Last season, Compton posted a batting average of .352 with 19 hits, nine doubles and a triple, along with eight RBIs. Compton appears to be on her way to turning in similar—if not better—numbers in 2025, as she was hitting .833 for the Rams through four games.

Following a tough loss to 4A Blue Ridge to open the 2025 season, Breleigh Betsill's play was integral to 5A Wade Hampton's three consecutive wins that followed over 4A Travelers Rest, 5A Eastside and 3A Broome. Her travel ball playing career has included stints with Carolina Thunder as well as Stars National Gleason, playing up in class on its 16U team. Betsill primarily plays in the outfield and is a talented southpaw with her glove and bat. She is another player who began her freshman season with two years of varsity experience already under her belt. Betsill hit .388 last season with 26 hits, six doubles, three triples, 42 runs and 17 RBIs. At the time of this writing, she already had seven runs scored, five hits, one triple and one home run, while also posting a .500 batting average at the dish.
