About Ansley
Expert Analysis
Caylan Arnold Elliott | Prep Softball Scout
Ansley Parr has been nearly untouchable in the circle this season, putting together one of the most dominant pitching lines among uncommitted 2027 arms. Across 72.1 innings, she has posted an astonishing 0.39 ERA while compiling an 11-1 record and striking out 177 hitters. Her ability to miss bats at that rate has allowed her to control games from the first pitch to the final out, often keeping opposing offenses completely off balance. Parr’s dominance has also translated into historic outings, including three no-hitters that highlight her command and composure in high pressure situations. Whether she is working ahead in the count or finishing hitters with strikeout pitches, she consistently limits opportunities for opposing lineups to build momentum. With a body of work that speaks for itself and a season filled with statement performances, Parr is quickly becoming a pitcher who opposing teams are frustrated to face.

With Ansley Parr, a team can go far. Along with the stellar work she puts forth in the circle, she can also play first base. Parr is also a multi-sport athlete who competes during the fall months on the volleyball court. She finished last season having gone 17-11 with a 1.70 ERA. This season, she has posted a team-leading 1.75 ERA with 14 victories and 11 losses at the time of this writing. With her ability to come through for her team at the dish as well as in the circle, expect this talented sophomore to continue to be a sought-after recruit, as she will likely only get better in the coming seasons. Hitters are also prone to striking out when Parr pitches. She certainly stands out in a state–Texas–that is no stranger to producing Division I–level talent.

While Texas produces more top-level talent than almost any other state, Ansley Parr has made a name for herself in a town of less than 6,000 people in northwest Texas, far removed from the state’s major cities. A year after striking out 329 batters in 156 1/3 innings, Parr already had 203 strikeouts in less than 100 innings as a sophomore at the time of this writing, while sporting a 1.83 ERA and holding opponents to a .171 average. She is also hitting .435 in 20 games with five doubles and five home runs. Her fastball tops out at 62 miles per hour, and that number should increase as her high school graduation approaches. She has a big difference in velocity between the heater and her mid-40s changeup, and sharp movement to both sides of the plate—her screwball ties right-handed batters in knots.
