Last spring, she broke her way into a starting lineup of a reigning state championship team. Not only that, but she also worked her way up to earn consistent at-bats as Rising Sun's three-hole hitter, en route to the squad winning yet another state title, which is certainly an impressive feat for your first time playing at the varsity level. Bailey went on to bat .427 between school and travel ball, all while patrolling the hot corner with a .959 fielding percentage. The combination of her strong bat with few holes in her swing and her talented, vacuum-like glove will undoubtedly endear her to college coaches this year and beyond.

Cayleigh Biermann has been rolling through the eastern shore's travel ball circuit with ease since becoming a teenager. As recently as this past fall, she batted .479 with a staggering 1.191 OPS, all while putting together a perfect fielding percentage behind the plate. Once she grows into her swing and and increases her bat speed a bit, Cayleigh may never hit below .400 again. She has the patience of a senior at the plate, and her simple swing stays through the zone long enough to give her the ability to hit the ball to all sides of the field. Behind the plate, she has tremendous softball IQ and a quick-twitch arm that allows her to gun down runners across the diamond.

Mia Cleveland has already drawn interest from Division I schools in and around Maryland, which is a tell-tale sign after her freshman season that she is destined to become one of the top recruits in the state. She possesses a powerful closed stance that allows her to unleash a strong swing on the ball. In each video she's shared of her swings on social media, whether they're from practice or in games, she demonstrates a consistent, compact approach that is transferable to the collegiate game. She also has the ability to play anywhere in the field and has the speed to back it up when she gets on the base paths. Mia is quickly shaping into a five-tool player.

A great way to have the softball seem to explode out of your hand is to be 5-foot-11. Another great way to overpower hitters is to top out at 69 mph as a freshman. Quinlyn Bary possesses both the size and ability to be a Division I pitcher. She's projecting as someone who can anchor a pitching staff for a high-level collegiate program. Quinlyn hucks the ball in the circle and has tremendous control over her fastball. As she continues to develop her secondary pitches, she can reach a new level of domination that will catapult her up the recruiting charts in Maryland and in the class of 2027 overall.

Maryland has a strong talent pool of current and former softball players in the collegiate ranks. The state also continues to churn out young talent from high schools around Maryland year after year, and the class of 2027 is no different.
